Flagline use to be called Halyard since the thin braided cord was originally used for rigging on sailboats. This has also given Hans J. Wegners model PP225 the nickname the “Flag halyard chair”.
Flagline is a braided cord with an outer layer of beautiful flax and a highly specialized core of no-stretch, high strength Yarn. Flagline can be applied to various functions and aspects of furniture design. The high strength, no stretch construction makes it perfect for open seat construction, but it can also be used for closer seat braiding and loadbearing functions.
