The Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®) promotes responsible forest management worldwide. FSC® certification ensures that products are made from responsibly managed forests that are managed in a way that is environmentally appropriate, socially beneficial, and economically viable. This means that forests are protected for future generations and that the ecological balance of the forest ecosystem is maintained.

In mitigating climate change forests play a critical role by storing carbon dioxide. FSC® certification ensures that forests are managed in a way that maximizes their carbon sequestration potential and minimizes the release of greenhouse gases.

By choosing FSC® certified products, you're promoting responsible consumption and sending a message that sustainable sourcing is important to you. You are helping in protecting forests, supporting communities, mitigating climate change and promoting responsible consumption.

Recycled and biodegradable solutions

In the last decade the possibilities within recycled and biodegradable plastic have continued to increase. At Randers Reb we are always on the lookout for new technologies to apply in our effort to minimize our CO2 footprint and today we have several options when it comes to switching parts of a product with greener alternatives.

Using recycled plastics and/or biodegradable  materials has numerous advantages for the environment and our communities. Recycling plastic reduces the amount of plastic waste that ends up in landfills or the oceans and it takes less energy to produce recycled plastic compared to virgin plastics. By using recycled plastic, we can reduce our energy consumption, carbon footprint and conserve non-renewable resources such as oil and gas. By using recycled plastic, we can extend the life of these resources and reduce our dependency on them.

Biodegradable materials break down faster than traditional plastics and do not release harmful greenhouse gases. This helps to reduce the impact of plastic production and its disposal in the environment.

Recycling plastics and manufacturing biodegradable ropes create jobs in the green economy. This benefits local communities and can help to promote economic growth.

Overall, using recycled and/or biodegradable materials is a smart choice for our planet and our future. By making the switch, we can reduce waste, conserve resources, and create a more sustainable world for generations to come.

Our deliberate path to greater sustainability

The UN World Goals, also known as the Sustainable Development Goals, are a set of 17 goals adopted by the United Nations in 2015. These goals aim to address global challenges such as poverty, inequality, climate change, and environmental degradation. The UN World Goals are designed to be interconnected, meaning progress towards one goal can have positive impacts on others.
